Pattie's Story...
Hi- I'm Pattie! I am sure a lucky girl--- I was rescued just in time from a kill shelter with my newborn kittens. Phew! I will soon be spayed, up to date on vaccinations too. I have already tested negative for FIV and FeLv and I have been treated for the prevention of ear mites, fleas and worms. My kittens are all being adopted now and I am ready to find a loving, forever home to call my very own too! I am approx. 1-2 years young and full of love and sweetness! I do well with all friendly people (I love to snuggle and cuddle!!!) and I do great with other cats and dogs too--- I just love everyone. My volunteer foster family always calls me "love-bug". I am dreaming of being adopted to a loving forever home to call my very own!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pattie, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
