Eli's Story...
This little boy is Eli and he is just precious. He was a stray found wandering the streets and picked up by animal control. He was rescued from the high kill animal shelter by his foster mom at the very last minute before his time was up. He weighs about 6 1/2 lbs. and our best guess is he is around 5 years old. Although it takes Eli a bit of time to warm up to new people, after settling in to his foster home and feeling secure, he has become a very loving, cuddly and playful little guy . He burrows under a blanket for hours at a time and is happy sleeping in his crate or in the bed. As long as he is covered up, he is content. Although Eli can sometimes have the protective and territorial Chihuahua attitude with strangers he is well behaved and playful, very bright and alert, and gets along with other dogs. When he gets really excited he dances around and sometimes runs in circles. Eli loves to lay in the grass in the sunshine and to go for car rides. He is smart, obedient, comes when he is called, and is crate trained. He does have an occasional accident in the house if not given opportunity to go outside, but always feels terrible about it. Can you be his forever family that will always love him and give him the attention and care he deserves so much? (AE)

Our rescues don't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not always possible to meet them prior to their adoption. At times, a dog may be in foster care in New England and their bio will clearly be marked as such. These southern dogs & cats are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day money back guarantee and the pet can be rehomed appropriately if things don't work out. Each group tries hard to get good matches in your homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date the cooperative has placed over a two thousand dogs and puppies, cats and kittens in loving New England homes! Each group has many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and they can pass along that information for your convenience.
