My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Casey is a 16 year old cherry head conure who had been living in the same home since he was very young. He does not want to be handled at this time and is very cage aggressive so we are working on that. His former parents said he has been plucking for approximately 5 years and his chest and back are completely bare. He seems to have stopped plucking and we are hopeful that with a good diet and plenty of toys and attention, he will no longer pluck himself. He does talk very well and has a fairly large vocabulary, as well as an impressive cat call. He is a very loud bird, as most conures are, so he would not be suitable for apartment living. He came to us eating primarily seeds, and is being converted to a diet of pellets, fresh vegetables, and fruit. He LOVES chop and bird bread! Casey would do well with someone who is experienced with birds and with the time and patience to earn his trust.
