Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Juno is a 6 mos beagle/shepherd mix. She is approx. 35 pounds, and not expected to get much bigger. She is a bit shy with people, but non-aggressive, and is getting the much needed socialization in her foster home. She loves other dogs and cats, and just needs to learn that people are a good thing, and she doesn't have to be afraid or cautious with them. She is submissive to dogs and people, and would be fine with children who are not overbearing with her. If they approach too quickly, she will shy away. A little patience and TLC and she will surely blossom into a lovely pet.
Juno is very playful, and has a good amount of energy. The ideal home for her would be a person or family who is active, and would want to bring their dog with them on outdoor hikes or outings. She would love another dog to play with, but she would be ok as an only dog as well, as long as she was getting ample attention. Being a pup, she loves to chew on bones and raw hides. She picks things up in her mouth, but drops on command, so she should be confined when not being supervised.
Juno is going to be spayed in the next couple of weeks, and is UTD on shots. She is crate trained, and goes in on her own, where she waits for the treat she gets for being a good girl. Juno's adopter should be willing to help bring her out of her shell with people. She is making daily progress, but is still needs to learn to trust and share affection with people. In spite of her fears, she has a very happy-go-lucky temperament, and with a little TLC, has a bright future as a great family pet.
If you think you are the right home for Juno, please email for an application to adopt.
