Daibok's Story...
Daibok means Good Fortune in Korean. Daibok is a sturdy 50 pound boy who thrives on attention and exercise. He is about 4 years old, is neutered, and microchipped. Daibok is fully vaccinated, crates without issues, and is housebroken. He’s in excellent health, with lots of love to share!

Daibok is very much a boy dog, playful yet very well mannered. Although he is housebroken, Daibok loves the outdoors and needs room to run. Typical for the breed he is a bit reserved around strangers, and takes a little while to warm up to new people. He walks extremely well on a leash. Daibok thrives on attention yet is sensitive enough to know when to settle. He loves to roll in the grass and get ear scratches from his special people.

Daibok came into the shelter with Jangmi, an elegant white female Jindo with whom he is very bonded. Daibok and Jangmi need to stay together. They have been through a lot but they have always had each other. Although bonded to Jangmi, Daibok thrives on one on one play time. As is often the case with this breed he has a very high prey drive and does not do well with cats, small dogs or other smaller animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daibok, a Southern California Jindo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jindo for sale in Southern California, or seeking a Jindo dog from a breeder in Southern California.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern California already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern California breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jindo breeders who help with Jindo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern California paves the way for another one to be saved.
