Jangmi's Story...
Jangmi means Rose in Korean and this pretty little girl lives up to her name. Jangmi is a dainty little Jindo girl who weighs less than 35 lbs. She is about 2 years old, is spayed, and microchipped. Jangmi is fully vaccinated, crates without issues, and is typically picky about her bathroom habits. At her vet check, the vet determined that she has had a couple of litters, and this has given her a calm maturity beyond her 2 years. She’s in excellent health, with lots of love to share!

Jangmi is very much a lady, gentle and polite in everything she does. Although she is housebroken, Jangmi loves the outdoors and is quite playful. Typical for the breed she is very reserved around strangers, and takes a little while to warm up to new people. She walks nicely on a leash. Jangmi thrives on attention yet is sensitive enough to know when to settle. She loves to roll in the grass and get ear scratches from her special people.

Jangmi came into the shelter with Daibok, a handsome red male Jindo with whom she is very bonded. She would be best in a home where she can share her family with Daibok. Although bonded to Daibok she very much likes her own time to play and space to enjoy. As is often the case with this breed she has a very high prey drive and does not do well with cats, small dogs or other smaller animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jangmi, a Southern California Jindo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jindo for sale in Southern California, or seeking a Jindo dog from a breeder in Southern California.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southern California already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southern California breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jindo breeders who help with Jindo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southern California paves the way for another one to be saved.
