This is Ruby. What a pretty girl. If we had to guess, we would say that Ruby is a Doberman / Greyhound mixed young adult female.
As you can see from her photos, she is black and tan with touches of white. She is long and lean, built like a Doberman/ Greyhound body.
Ruby is about 1 yr old and weighs about 60 to 65lbs. She is fully housetrained and crate trained and is currently living in a home with a
family with children. Ruby would do okay in a home with older children (say maybe, 8 yrs old and up?).
She has also had some formal obedience training and walks very well on a leash and knows several basic commands. She would do well with
an owner that will continue to work with her regarding her training and obedience.
We had a chance to talk to Ruby's trainers and they say that she is an active girl and would be a wonderful companion for an active couple
or family. She would make a great runners companion, for example. She is active and wants to play (she is only 1 yr old and probably still has her puppy energy) and might do well in a home with another medium or large young adult or adult compatible male dog for her to play with. Her favorite play activities are a race me - chase me game with another dog.
She enjoys a little bit of light wrestling but rough wrestling and rough play is not her style. We don't know how Ruby would do in a home
with cats. (we suspect that she might chase them.) Of course, a meet and greet would let us know how well she would do with your current pets.
Ruby is already spayed, microchipped, and current on Vaccinations.
