My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is another victim of ignorant pet owner who just let this little boy to roam and never looked for him. He was turned in to a high kill GA shelter as a stray in horrible condition. He was severely matted, dirty and extremely thin. He was confused and scared to death. And no one could blame him. Since no one was even interested in giving him a chance Southern HOPE stepped in and saved him from being euthanized.

Timmy is a spunky Toy Poodle who is full of personality. Alert and curious. Wants to be involved in all activities around him. Brave and fearless. Courageous and lively. Perky. LOVES to play with other animals and toys. He gets along with other dogs and ignores cats. He gets along with other dogs but it seems he chooses one person who he will be overprotective of. He is a dog who wants and who demands to stay in your arms. He likes to be carried while he holds to you like a velcro. He rides well in cars (again, he wants to be on your laps during the trip) and he is crate trained. Very playful. He loves his toys and he enjoys running in fenced in yard.

Perfect tiny dog for someone who is looking for a lifetime companion who you can take along everywhere you go. Ideal lap dog for an adult household.Timmy is around 4 yrs old and weights 4-5 lbs. Even in such a young age Timmy does have cataracts in one eye. However the blood work does not show any health issues which would cause the condition. Please consider adopting this tiny clown. He has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. He is up to date on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He is heartworm negative. Timmy also has had dental work done (his teeth were professionally cleaned.)

Thank you for your interest in Timmy. The rescue who is bringing Timmy has the information on Timmy's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)

If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
