Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dallas is a 4-year-old Pomeranian, who was given the name Dallas
because every time he sees the Dallas cheerleaders, he gets happy. He
was found as a stray and delivered to a humane shelter, where he was
adopted almost immediately, but then returned, because his new owner
decided to get a cat instead! At the shelter, he had some growling
issues and it was decided that he should be "put to sleep" unless a
rescue could be found to take him. Thank God ATtT found out about him.
We had him tested for Lyme disease and he tested positive, which would
explain the growling, since Lyme disease is painful. Sadly, the people
at the shelter hadn't recognize Dallas' growls as signs of pain, so
his little cute neck was on the chopping block. ATtT treated Dallas
with the standard 30-day course of doxycycline, and now he is free of
Lyme disease and is no longer in pain. Dallas is obviously beautiful,
but he's also busy, curious, and friendly. He's a healthy, happy boy
who loves to run (especially in the snow), play catch, and rest his
tired head on your lap. He cocks his head at just the right angle to
let you know he is intently interested in everything you have to say,
and he'll hold up his end of the conversation. Oh, and he's very, very
smart! He can sit, take a bow, give you his paw, and he has even
learned to put his paw in his food bowl to show you where to put his
food! His favorite toy is his abacus-- he loves watching the beads go.
Dallas will do better with a solid and firm leader who is willing to
teach him things, because he is eager to learn. His foster mom thinks
he could be great at canine freestyle dancing. If you're the right
person for Dallas, you will be a patient, loving, strong-minded
teacher, and you will love him forever! Please go to:

You won't be sorry.
