Zack's Story...
"Hello everyone...it you are looking for a very energetic and fun fellow, then look no further than my kennel. My name is ZACK, and I'm a one-year-old Lab/ Pit Bull mix. Actually, very handsome is the best way to describe me, because I am indeed! I have a beautiful tan and white coat with incredible markings, and a great smile too. I love going for walks and I walk nicely on the leash, and being young, I am ready, willing and anxious to learn new things, because I am extremely intelligent. I enjoy playing with the tennis ball and stuffed toys, and running around in the exercise yards here at the shelter, so I can get my exercise. I love people very much, but since I'm rambunctious, I would do best in a home with older children, and I'd prefer to be the only dog in my new home. In my new forever home, I'd love to have a nice yard, where I could enjoy myself, and then have a soft and comfy dog bed of my very own in the house, so that I could be close to my person or my family. My hair is real short, so you know for sure that I would be extremely easy to take care of. I do enjoy getting brushed, because I know that keeps my coat always looking its best. At night when the shelter is very quiet, that is the time when all of us animals whisper and share our hopes and dreams with each other about finding a new forever home. I do know one thing, and that is...I would love to have a new forever home with you. When you come to the shelter, just ask our great Shelter Staff to introduce you to the very handsome fellow whose name is ZACK. We just might discover that we are meant to be best friends "FUR"EVER! Let's get acquainted and have some fun! Love, ZACK" kennel #48

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zack, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
