My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Lexus. I am a beautiful adult female German Shepherd. I am about 6 years young and have wonderful manners. I love to walk on the leash and am old enough to act like a lady but young enough to love a good hike through the woods or a long walk. I also know many commands like sit, shake, down and even roll over! If that is not enough I am excellent with children and with other dogs - just about the perfect pup! I have so many more wonderful years to spend with my new family. I hope you will give me a chance to show you what a fantastic girl I am.

I spent the first years of my life as a breeding dog in a small, private breeding facility. I was well-loved and well cared for. Unfortunately my owner was no longer able to keep me due to health reasons. I do want to say that I was the only one of the breeding dogs that the family was unwilling to place anywhere except for a wonderful no-kill shelter where they knew I would be well cared for and where I would have an excellent chance of finding a new family to love me. They knew what a fantastic girl I am and I can't wait to find a new family to share many more happy years with!
