Nelly's Story...
t was once said that blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog. I hope there is someone out there that believes this statement to be true. Hello all, my name is Nelly and I am a 8 year old Labrador Retriever weighing about 60 pounds. True, I am not as adorable as the puppies and I am not as agile as some of the adolescents posted on here, but I can love you just the same as they can. Older dogs do have their positive points despite what some may think. For instance, I am not going to challenge you and test the boundaries. I am happy to lay by your feet on a nice soft bed and receive a pat on the head every now and again. In addition, I won't pee on your floor because I already know that the bathroom is outside and not inside. Finally, I will be loyal and thankful to you for giving me a safe and happy place to live my final years. Please consider me or another senior dog because love knows no age.
Nelly is located in KY, but can be transported. Please contact Susan at soapdiva44@yahoo.com for more info.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nelly, a Owingsville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Owingsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Owingsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owingsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owingsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owingsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
