Mason's Story...
Mason is a young black lab that came into LPBR in rough shape. He was a vicim of a gun shot straight to the front leg that required it to be amputated. Even though this boy has been through so much, he doesnt let it get him down. He was up a few days after surgery and showed how much he loves life on 3 legs.
Mason is a true little hero. He is housebroken, crate trained, loves and adores children & people. loves dogs and cats and is his foster mom said he is just a gem to have around.
Mason is healed, and is now ready to venture on to a forever home. He cant wait to find that one home that will love and appreciate him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mason, a Houston Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
