Jester's Story...
On 4/12/12 MAS took in several dogs from a puppy mill situation in Allegan County. Jester is one of the adorable, scared, shy, little males we took in. He needs a home with an individual or family that has alot of love and time to give him. He needs to be given lots of love and socialization. He will need to be potty trained. Jester has spent his life in a crate, so he had to eat and sleep and go potty where he lived. So lots of patience is required to adopt him. He is coming along really well since here, and we know the sky is the limit as far as his potential. Please fill in an adoption application and come and see him soon!

For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jester, a Lake Odessa Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Lake Odessa, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Lake Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
