Riley's Story...
Riley is an 8 year old neutered male beagle mix. His owner is moving and Riley needs to find a new home. Riley has a great personality. He is very social with adults and likes other dogs, but he is the alpha dog in his current 3 dog pack. There are not any children in his current home, but he is such a sweet fellow, that I think he would do well with children. Riley is housetrained, but he is used to having a fenced yard. Riley will be a great addition to a family looking for a happy, fun dog. His home sibling, Pluto is also looking for a new home, so please look at Pluto’s bio for twice the fun!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Richmond Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
