My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Amos! He is a very sweet older fella that has lived a very hard life prior to ending up in a shelter in McPherson KS. Being a wonderful shelter, they contacted AMPS rescue to help Amos. we do not know anything of his past, but he arrived with scars and fresh bite wounds onhis neck and legs. He is also Heartworm Positive. We will be pursuing treatment for the HW are begging for donations to help us pay the medication to kill the HW. Amos is a very scared dog right now, but he is quickly learning that people can be nice and soft beds and blankies are wonderful. He will now sit on my lap and will almost relax! He trembles when he hears loud noises or when first held. He is so deserving of a family that will love him and show him nothing but kindess and love. Amos would be okay with older kids, but right now I think he would be too afraid of really young children that might be too boisterous for him. Please consider helping us treat his HW disease or even better yet- adopting this great boy!
