Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stevie is an extremely sweet little boy. He is affectionate and friendly. Gets along great with other dogs and enjoys people. He also loves playing, but he is quiet and calm! Not a barker. Just a good boy! No trouble whatsoever. He is leash trained and loves car rides. He is housetrained as well, intelligent and alert! When he prances around you can't help but smile! He would make a great walking partner and would love to cuddle with you on cold nights. Despite how sweet he is, we'd rather he went to a home without small children. He is 3-4 years old and weighs about 12 lbs. He is full grown so he will not get any bigger, for all you small dog lovers! :)
Even though this boy's old family dumped him, he is still hopeful he will find a home with a family who will love him forever .
This poor boy was turned in to a high kill Georgia shelter as a stray. Another unwanted pet whose family didn't care enough to look for. Luckily for him Southern HOPE stepped in to save him from being euthanized due to lock of space. Now Stevie is ready to get adopted by a loving responsible family. Please consider giving him a chance. He needs to know there are people out there who are responsible and who do care.
Stevie has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative. The adoption fee also includes microchip registration. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
Thank you for your interest in Stevie. The rescue who is bringing Stevie has the information on Stevie's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.
APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)
If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
