Tess's Story...
Hi! My name is Tess and this photo was taken on May 26th and i was 4.5 weeks old. I am working on growing big enough to go to my new home but will needs lots of love and cuddling. We were taken with our mama from a place that didn't know how to take care of newborn kittens. We have been at a great foster home that has given us a warm loving home until we are adopted. We are all very lovely and we are working on our kitten socialization and learning how great people are! My adoption fee is $50 and that includes up to date shots and spaying when i am old enough. If you would like to adopt one of us, email adoptions@starnorth.org for the application or call 218.245.3732 for more information during adoption hours Mon, Tues, Thurs 5-7 and Saturdays 12-3. Put your application in today to get pick of the litter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tess, a Coleraine Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coleraine, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coleraine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coleraine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coleraine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coleraine paves the way for another one to be saved.
