I am a Shelter Pull Kitty! This means that when you adopt me, FOF can save another kitty from a high kill county shelter.' This is Trista. We pulled her from a shelter last summer. She was a skinny ragged flea infested mess, and was also lactating. She must have had kittens but they were not brought into the shelter with her. She cowered in the back of her cage and her eyes were so sad. The reason for surrender noted on her cage card was 'don't want'.
Once we got her cleaned up and spayed, her true personality shined through. Trista is a very affectionate and loyal cat. She prefers to be the only cat, or at least not to be 'one of many'; maybe 1-2 other cats would be workable for her. She loves to be brushed (a Furminator works wonders on her) and she makes a great lap warmer too.
Trista loves high perches and window seats. And occasionally, she gets energized by some catnip, as seen here (she was happy to partake in the catnip toy raid on Monday). Trista is not a cat who immediately catches your eye, which is exactly why we pulled her from the shelter. But if someone would give her a chance, she would make an excellent kitty companion. She has been in our Adoption Program for over a year now and currently lives in a foster home. Please share her story so the right person may find her!
All of our kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, vaccinated against Distemper, and treated for fleas and other parasites.

Our adoption center is located at 4600 Knapp NE 49525. Our open adoption hours are every Thursday 6-8pm and Sunday from 12-2pm. Come on out and meet the love of your life!
