My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pup will be at our adoption event at Petco in Oswego from 12:00-3:00, Saturday, July 14th. 3066 US Highway 34 Oswego, IL 60543 (630) 551-3262.

Meet Raven! She is a beautiful 2 year old Angel! She loves everyone in the house – dogs, kids and people! She is fine with the resident cat. She weighs 40 pounds and is completely housebroken. While she doesn’t get in the kiddie pool with her foster brother yet, she loves to fetch a tennis ball! She is very loving and loves to give kisses. She walks well on a leash, but likes to walk fast! She might be an excellent candidate for a jogging partner! This is one sweet girl that you must meet!!

Now that her puppies are old enough to be on their own and she's been spayed her personality is really coming out! She's no longer the serious Mommy dog who came here with her little babies. She's really becoming playful - almost puppy like! She's also verbal - she talks to us, and joins the other dogs barking when the doorbell rings! She's really a happy dog who enjoys being with people!!

Raven came from a high kill shelter in Kentucky with her babies. She’s been a great Mommy, but her babies are grown now. Looking at her sweet face it’s hard to believe that she was sitting unwanted in a shelter on death row. We saw that face and knew she had a lot of potential and saved her so she could meet a wonderful family deserving of her love.

PLEASE NOTE THAT BREED, AGE, AND SIZE AT MATURITY ARE ONLY GUESSES!!

She is being fostered in a home in St. Charles, which is where you would go to meet her if your application is approved. If you would like to meet this absolutely wonderful dog, please go to our website at www.angelsonwheels.org to complete the online application. Please be patient with the process. We are all volunteers trying to make a difference. It does take a few days to process applications.

The adoption fee of $250.00 includes her spaying, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, Rabies, Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, dewormed with panacur, treated with Revolution or Front-Line Plus along with any other medical needs. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. This is one free class you really don’t want to miss, and 10% off purchase of a 10-day care package for dogs attending Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful home.
