My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cassidy is a sweet Miniature Australian Shepherd (mix) girl. Laid back and easy going. Loves those she knows; at times shy at first towards strangers. Extremely affectionate and lovable. Loves to get kisses and enjoys sitting on your laps. Snuggler. Excellent with other dogs (small and large). Smart. Alert and curious. Not a barker. Rides well in cars and leash trained. Seems to be housetrained as well. She has beautiful shiny coat and a sweet. Loves to play.

Devoted friend. Courageous, loyal and affectionate companion. Ideal pet for an active household. Great dog to take along for long walks or run and then snuggle with in front of a TV. Excellent pet for an active household. Perfect playmate for another dog. Experienced pet owner recommended. No homes with small children please.
The coat of the Miniature Australian Shepherd is easy to groom and needs little attention. Brush occasionally with a firm bristle brush and bathe only when necessary. This breed is an average shedder. She needs to be taken on daily, long walks.
Cassidy is almost a year old and weights healthy 28 lbs. Full grown. Docked tail.
This poor girl was turned to local high kill shelter by the owner without giving a reason. The consent to have her euthanized was signed. Luckily Southern HOPE was called in to give this girl another chance in life. She came in scared and very confused. And who can blame her? She just didn't know what she had done wrong to end up homeless and alone. We were so glad to see that in no time she realized she can trust us and that she is safe. In no time she was giving us kisses and became our shadow. Please consider adopting this beautiful girl.
Cassidy has been spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative. The adoption fee also includes microchip registration. Se is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Thank you for your interest in Cassidy. The rescue who is bringing Cassidy has the information on Cassidy's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)

If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
