My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a handsome Lhasapoo (cross of Lhasa Apso and Poodle). He is a very good boy with great personalities. Loves to play!!! Friendly with other dogs and loves people. A happy-go-lucky young man. Cuddly and very intelligent. Will follow you everywhere you go and will ask you to allow him to join you in all activities. Fun disposition. Extremely loving. Easy going and gentle. Rides well in cars and loves long walks on a leash. Not a barker. Wonderful little companion for most household. Affectionate, loving, and loyal family member. Great playmate for other dogs and older children. Loving lap dog who wouldn't mind to share the blanket with you during long cold winter nights.

Coat requires frequent brushing to remove loose and dead hair or professional clipping. Daily exercise is important to keep him fit and healthy. He will enjoy family play sessions, securely leashed walks, and off- lead play time in a securely fenced yard.

Max is around 3 years old and weights 18 lbs. Full grown.
Most of the time his little tongue hangs out on right side time. There is a good possibility that at some point he was injured and that caused slight changes to his bottom jaw. We have a feeling that the person who had him before us kicked him and that caused the injury. Max is not in pain and he does not require any further medical assistance to the mouth other then any regular dental when needed. Max has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative. The adoption fee also includes microchip registration. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Thank you for your interest in Max. The rescue who is bringing Max has the information on Max's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)

If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
