My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Drew is a sweet laid back young little dog. Affectionate and very friendly. Good with other dogs and loves people. Calm and quiet. Easy going. Just loves to be around people and enjoys being involved in all activities. Not a barker. Rides well in cars and leash trained. Wonderful pet for someone who is looking for a lifetime companion. He will always be there for you and he
will teach you what unconditional love is all about. Great dog to take along for short walks and then snuggle with while watching a good movie.
Short coat requires very little care. Regular brushing will keep the coat clean and free of dirt and dead hair. Make sure to keep the nails clipped. Bathe only as needed. Average shedder. Daily exercise such a walk on a leash is important to keep him fit, happy and healthy both physically and mentally.
Drew is around 4 years old and weights " healthy" about 13 lbs. Full grown.
This is another unwanted pet turned in to GA high-kill shelter by his owner without a reason. Permission to have him euthanized was signed. Due to lock of space Southern HOPE was called in to help this little fella. Now he is fully vetted and ready to finally find the loving forever all pets deserve. Please consider adopting him. His sad eyes will melt your heart and will put a smile on your face on your worst day. Drew has been neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative. The adoption fee also includes microchip registration. He is current on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Thank you for your interest in Drew. The rescue who is bringing Drew has the information on Drew's background. The rescue has asked Dog Days to pre-screen interested adopters for all of their dogs coming to our event.

APPLICATION FORM: http://godogdays.org/find-my-new-best-friend.htm (Copy and paste to browser.)

If you would like to begin the application process, please fill in the form at the link above and we will review your information, call your personal and well as vet references. PLEASE Fill in the application if you're interested in adoption, this will save you time at the event. A letter from your vet on their letterhead will also be very helpful if they won't be open for us to call as a reference. If you are renting, please note you must have a written letter of permission from your landlord to own a dog on their property. Dog Days will be conducting interviews of prospective adopters. As a policy, Dog Days will not hold dogs for potential adopters so it is important to come to the event by 11:00am Saturday morning if you have your heart set on a particular dog. We will be posting more information on each dog as we get closer to the event weekend which is June 23-24 at Chester Fairgrounds. PLEASE NOTE THAT DOGS ARE GIVEN TO THE BEST HOME, NOT FIRST IN LINE.
