My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Rusty and I'm a little over 2 years old. I weigh about 10 lbs. and they think I'm a Yorkie mix, but we don't know with what. My owner's house was foreclosed on and they dropped me and my brother at the shelter. Our owners never came back and we don't understand why. This nice lady at the shelter took us to her house so that we wouldn't be put to sleep, and called Pick Me! Pet Rescue. They said that we could come live there with them until they could find us a forever home. I'm very sweet and a little shy, it takes me a little while to accept new people, but I'm a little love bug when I get comfortable. I like all of the other dogs here and I'm really liking the people attention. My previous owner did not socialize me, so I am learning to enjoy different people and other dogs in our foster home. My foster mom thinks that I must not have been handled a lot, but I sure do like it ;). She says that I'm the sweetest dog she's ever met. I have all of my vaccines, I'm microchipped, and I'm neutered. I'm Heartworm negative and on preventive as well as flea preventive.
