Jake's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jake's Story...
Jake is about 2 years old, heartworm negative, leash broken, and house broken. Jake really loves other dogs, he came to the shelter with "Daisy Mae" and is much happier when he is with her. Jake is a little fella, he only weighs about 13lbs and he has a long tail not the short bob tail like most Jack Russell Terrier's. Jake is looking for his forever home with a nice fluffy bed that he can call his own....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jake, a Newberry Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Newberry, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Newberry.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newberry already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newberry breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newberry paves the way for another one to be saved.
