Klaus's Story...
Klaus is a 6-8 month Papillon mix. He is very cute, has a great personality and is house trained. Klaus is 8 1/2 pounds, current on vaccines and tested heartworm negative. He is very active, curious and intelligent! Klaus is a ball of energy and loves to play and chase butterflies. But he also likes to sit in a lap and be loved as well. He gets along well with his foster sibling, although he wears him out! Klaus sleeps in a crate in his foster home's office and will quiet down pretty quickly once the lights go out. Klaus was found a bus stop on 216th and US 1. Please email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Klaus, a Homestead Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Homestead, or seeking a Papillon puppy from a breeder in Homestead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homestead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homestead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homestead paves the way for another one to be saved.
