Tigger's Story...
Meet Tigger! He was found as a stray in Chattanooga and brought to the shelter. No one claimed this GORGEOUS boy and they called AGK for help. Tigger is a Flat Coat Retriever, possible mix, between 1-2 years of age. Tigger is SOOO sweet, he just wants to sit in your lap and give you kisses. He is good with other dogs and passed the shelter's temperament test with flying colors. He is an active boy that needs daily exercise and/or doggie daycare because he loves to play with his canine friends. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tigger, a Glastonbury Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
