ADOPTED!'s Story...
This adorable little guy is Beau. Although Beau is a sweet, true-blue friend, he has been waiting YEARS at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter for a loving home of his own. We don't understand it as Beau seems to love everyone - he wonders, "why doesn't someone love me back?"

Like the many other dogs at the shelter, Beau runs to the front of his kennel every time someone new walks through. He hopes to be "the one" picked to leave. He is desperate for a normal life where he can dote on his person and curl up close at night to snuggle next to him/her. This lovely guy is losing hope; he tries to maintain his wonderful outlook on life, but so far, life has not been very kind to him.

Won't you please give this gentle, loving pup a chance? Do you have enough room in your heart for Beau? He will never disappoint you; he will love you until the end of his days.

Transport for Beau is available within the tri-state area of NY (NY, NJ, CT). He is located at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter, Long Island, NY. Contact me at: companionpets@optonline.net for more information on this fine furry friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADOPTED!, a Smithtown Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Smithtown, or seeking a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Smithtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
