Hami's Story...
Handsome Hami is a 14-week-old red heeler mix that was recently rescued after being abandoned at a vet clinic with his siblings. He is a very independent, chill little dude who loves to hang out outside, roll around in the grass, chase bugs and chew on his nylabone. Hami also loves his people and is very loyal. When playtime is over he loves to fall asleep on your feet or curl up in your lap. Hami definitely has heeler instincts and I don't think he knows his own size or strength so he can be a little rough with his siblings, but he's VERY smart and is quickly learning his limits. He does great in his kennel and sleeps through the night. He has also aced puppy pad training, so I'm expecting that he'll pick up house training very quickly. Hami is VERY intelligent and attentive. He makes eye contact well and is learning commands quickly. He responds to his name and understands "no" and "come." He is also working on other basic obedience commands.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hami, a Arlington Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
