Lynx's Story...
Lynx is a blue merle, mini-Australian Shepherd, born in approximately June 2006. His previous owner died and Lynx found himself at the Humane Society. Lynx has a great personality and enjoys cuddling and giving lots of love. He has had some obedience training and knows commands like sit, stay, leave it, and down. Lynx is also house trained and will tell you when he needs to go outside. He can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you he will have no trouble showing lots of affection. Lynx also gets along well with other dogs, but prefers those who are not too hyperactive. He loves to go on walks and play in the park which is a good thing, as he has a few pounds to lose. He is a good boy who will do best in a calm, loving home without very young children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lynx, a Scottsdale Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
