Sonny's Story...
Sonny was surrendered at a recent spay & neuter clinic. He has settled into his foster home amazingly fast and is now enjoying the good life! While he was raised in a rural area, he doesn’t seem to mind the big city at all. He is completely housetrained and has never had a single accident in his foster home. He is a very sweet & gentle boy who is just happy to hang out with his people. He even gets along well with the cats in his foster home and is happy to meet other dogs when out for walks. He is a very smart boy who is catching onto leash manners & basic obedience, but has obviously not been taught very much before. Sonny would make a great addition to just about any home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonny, a Okotoks Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Okotoks, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Okotoks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Okotoks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Okotoks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Okotoks paves the way for another one to be saved.
