Aztec (POLYDACTYL)'s Story...
Year-old Aztec is a gangly, tall boy with big ol' thumbs! Yes, he's a polydactyl, so he looks like he has big mittens. He's the only surviving kitten of the litter, as they caught a bad virus very young and it was deadly. But Aztec has lots of kitty friends, so he'd love to be with a friendly cat or maybe even a dog. His cute trick is picking up an empty Fancy Feast can and running around with it! He's initially shy, but then relaxes and is so sweet and innocent. Such a playful guy! He loves his climber, lounging around on the bed with his pals, and playing with toys.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aztec (POLYDACTYL), a Petersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Petersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
