Munch's Story...
Munch is an adorable young kitty! Her approximate birthday is 4/4/12. She is very affectionate when she feels comfortable and will walk up and sit on your feet or your lap and cuddle. She also will start meowing when she wants attention, and if you call back to her, she will come find you- it’s almost like she's playing marco polo! She will let you pick her up and hold her, but she doesn’t like it for too long if it wasn’t her idea. She will head-butt you awake in the morning. She has started a new habit of wanting to groom you. She will walk up and sit by my husbands head and lick his entire head! It's adorable. Munch thinks that the toilet is the petting place. As soon as anyone heads in there, she follows them in and sits on their feet or crawls on to their lap or shoulders. Munch also loves any and every bag. She is quite petite and will be a small cat. She gets along well with other cats that are friendly, but she is easily scared. She does not do well around loud noises or sudden movements. She would probably be happier around adults or older gentle children. She doesn't particularly like dogs but she gets along with them if they are friendly/well behaved. oh, and she thinks having her nails trimmed is the worst thing in the world!

Munch would do best in a home where she has another kitty friend. We recommend adopting kittens in pairs if there are no other friendly cats in the home. A playmate provides important socialization and stimulation, especially for people who work all day and can't be home with their kitten. Kittens bond to one another and play in a way humans can't. Adoption fee is $135 for one kitten, or $235 for two, and includes deworming, up to date vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing of each litter, and spay or neuter. If interested in giving Munch her forever home, please email Jackie at jakrivero@yahoo.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Munch, a San Diego Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
