Picard & Pongo's Story...
Picard (more white), Pongo (fluffy tail) and another 2 kittens were born to a mom saved from Petersburg Animal Control. The family was fostered by a vet tech in Richmond. (They also have another brother who is black and white shorthair, Paco). They are shy at first, so they'll benefit from being restricted to a small room where you can interact with them initially and win their affection! They are very playful and rowdy, but neat and not destructive as kittens can often be. Picard has shorter hair than Pongo, who is much fluffier and has a fluffy tail. The babies were born 3/27, so they're about 3 months old and have been neutered and received their rabies and 1st distemper; we will cover their 2nd distemper if taken to our vet, Crater Rd Vet Hosp in Petersburg.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Picard & Pongo, a Petersburg Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Petersburg, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
