My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Posted June 27th....Meet Gretta, an 8-10 week old sweet, loving, happy pup who weighs only 5 pounds. She is beautiful, and a one of a kind pup. She has short legs and a long body like Dachshund, but the coloring of an Aussie. As soon as the vet saw her, he said Dachshund/Aussie mix, although I'm sure she is mixed with other things as well. Please note that breed and size at maturity are only our best guess.

Gretta is being fostered with her siblings, Maggie, Joey, and AJ in a SE Aurora home around children, other dogs and she is fabulous with them all. The foster mom's home is Aurora is where you would go to meet her should your application be approved. Please go to www.angelsonwheels.org to complete the on-line adoption application if you would like to meet Gretta. If your application is approved for a meet and greet, Oswego is where you would go to meet this very sweet pup.

Gretta came from a high kill gassing Shelter in Oklahoma. Once we saw this adorable girl, we new we had to rescue her. She is very, loving, and full of kisses. She would love someone to adopt her to maker her part of their family. Looking at her adorable face and seeing her personality, it's hard to imagine how such a wonderful dog could end up alone and unwanted on death row. Lucky for her, we saw her face, knew her loving potential and saved her so she could meet a wonderful family deserving of her love. She would be the perfect pet to add to any family.

The adoption fee of $250.00 includes: Her spaying, done when she is old enough, but paid for through the rescue if through one of our participating vets, microhipped, 1st and 2nd puppy vaccination for Distemper-Adenovirus-Parainfluenza-Parvo, Bordetella Vaccination for the prevention of kennel cough, dewormed with panacur and droncit, treated with Frontline plus for the prevention of fleas, and ticks. You will also receive a free office visit to Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park or Wheaton Animal Hospital, a training dvd, and tons of coupons for Petco.

The adoption also comes with a free puppy/doggy class through Flydogs located at Central Bark Doggie Day Care in Oswego, which introduces you to housebreaking, name recognition, crate training, sit/stay and leash walking. This is one free class you really don't want to miss, and 10% off purchase of a 10-day care package for dogs attending Central Bark Doggy Day Care in Oswego.

Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save them.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals and wanting to give them a wonderful. Gretta
