My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m, little Leo! I am approx. 6 weeks old as of July (2012). Thanks to A4A I will now neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLv, housetrained/litterbox trained and treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms, all prior to adoption. I am as sweet and gentle as can be and I love to play with my cat toys and my siblings too- I love to be petted and I have a great purr! I love to snuggle in on your lap. To tell you a bit about my past, I was dumped off at a high kill KY shelter and left to die along with my siblings Dixie and Jenna. We were too little at that point to eat any food on our own, so we were starving. At the shelter they “clean out” whoever is there on a certain day every week, so I was only given a few days to live, through no fault of my own. I was covered in fleas, worms and ticks and I was starving…and very lonely. I had little hope that someone would find me there and save us all in time…but thankfully the good people at A4A did. I am such a lucky boy and I will always be forever grateful! When we got to A4A another nursing feline mom took us in and allowed us to nurse and she bathed us and help us have full bellies and then to learn to eat real cat food on our own. She was so nice, as are the volunteers at A4A. Now I am happy, healthy and loving life—I am just patiently waiting to find a forever home to call my very own!
