Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Darla is a sweet little soul that was abandoned in the desert and rescued by some wonderful people that knew she would not last long in the 112 degree sun,no food or water and predators everywhere. She is getting some TLC from her temporary foster mom and will be ready for a new home of her own. If you would like to meet this brave ,precious little girl and show her the love that she didnt know in her past life, contact us at luvofdogzfund@aol.com for more info. She will be able to go to her new home on July 9th after she is spayed. We are currently taking applications
Darla Progress:
Wow look at the progress Darla the desert dog has made. She was terrified when she was first rescued. Here is an update from her foster
"Good Morning: Well, Remington Darlas foster brother finally got his wish. Darla started
wrestling with him this morning. He knew that constant bugging would pay
off! She even walked a whole loop with me. Have a good day. Linda"
Darla continues to move beyond her fear and gain more confidence every day. She is now walking daily on a leash. She is completely housebroken and gets along well with other dogs. She likes to chew on her bone and chase the ball. So far she hasn't brought the ball back to us but she is working on that. She is very gentle and has the sweetest face and spotted ears.
Last night Darla and I were in our back common area sitting on a bench hanging out with Tery and Remington. One of our neighbors joined us with her dog and within a few minutes Darla was enjoying being petted by our neighbor. Our neighbor commented on what a sweet, pretty dog she is. It is fun and inspiring to watch Darla's true personality come out!
