Tugger's Story...
Tugger is a delightful puppy. We think he was born May 4, 2012. Tugger and two siblings were left on the side of the road in a box when about 5 weeks old. They were found and taken where they could get help. Tugger got his name due to the fact that by the second day in our care his favorite thing to do is grab the pant leg and hold on. Tugger is a handsome brindle with white feet. His puppy shots have been started and dewormed. Tugger is looking for a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tugger, a Melbourne Mountain Cur/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur/Dachshund for sale in Melbourne, or seeking a Mountain Cur/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Melbourne.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Melbourne already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Melbourne breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur/Dachshund breeders who help with Mountain Cur/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Melbourne paves the way for another one to be saved.
