Sophie's Story...
Petite, delicate, and "oh-so-loving" would best describe this Manx beauty. Sophie was rescued from the shelter, having given birth prematurely to her kittens, only one of which survived. She showed gracious affection from the beginning, which has only continued to grow. Her breed is called Cymric, which is a long-haired Manx. Sophie loves to watch TV and will sit gazing at the screen with intent curiosity, mesmerized by the antics of other cats and kittens on Animal Planet! A bit shy to newcomers, she will soon steal your heart with her intense nuzzling purr and her sweet eyes. Contact tucknings@triad.rr.com for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Winston-Salem Cymric cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cymric for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Cymric cat from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cymric breeders who help with Cymric rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
