Maybelle - Crossposting's Story...
Meet Maybelle! She is a youthful 7 year old, 20 pound terrier mix who found herself at a shelter through no fault of her own. She radiates happiness! She is very friendly, playful, and loves to snuggle with everyone. She loves children. She is fully house trained and well mannered in the house She very rarely barks and is dog friendly. She especially gets along well with mild mannered, quiet dogs. She is (reportedly) a little too interested in playing with cats so a cat
free home or a home where they can have their space would be ideal. The kind folks at the shelter treated her for heart worm and she now has a clean bill of health and is spayed. Please email elise.heger@gmail.com for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maybelle - Crossposting, a Salem Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Salem, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
