Johnny's Story...
Caroline (white with gray) and Johnny (black), they are very affectionate & playful and would love to stay together. One of Caroline,s back feet were injured, while she gets around very well the vet recommended that part of her leg be amputated. She currently uses her 3 legs to runs and plays with her brother. She jumps and gets around so there will be no change in to her mobility. She doesn't know that she has a problem with her leg and has no impact on her activity level. As soon as Caroline sees someone coming she arches her back and purrs wanting to be petted and held. If you are interested in a very loving dual of kittens please consider Johnny & Caroline. A more affectionate duo could not be found. I am up- to-date on shots and negative for FIV/FeLV. For more information or to meet me, email ...

About Our Rescue Group...
H.A.R.T. was formed in June of 2002; we are a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. All of our members have previous experience in rescuing and have fostered numerous animals. Because we all have similar thoughts and philosophies about rescuing, we have joined together to increase our opportunities to help animals in need. Like other rescue groups, we find homes for many abandoned cats. We are not a shelter; we foster our cats in our homes until we can find a permanent home for them. We are small group of individuals with the same interest in finding long-lasting, loving homes for cats. And like people, cats have personalities, so we try very hard to find a home that best suits each cat's needs. Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our animals. We try hard to make the adoption experience a positive and life-long commitment between you and your new family member. We want our animals to be in their forever home when they leave our foster care. We take pride in making a good match between the family and the pet they are adopting. Different pets have different requirements, and we want all involved to be happy with any match we make. Education is a very important part of our philosophy. We would like to reduce the number of homeless animals through public awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering your pets.

Our Adoption Process...
Our Adoption Priorities
We feel that each cat has their own unique personality, as do people. So when we look for a prospective home for these cats, the needs of each cat are considered. With that in mind we try very hard to match the home and family with that particular cat. These cats have already had enough trauma in their lives, so by doing this we hope to ensure that it will be a forever home.

Johnny, a Cranford/Rartian Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cranford/Rartian, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cranford/Rartian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cranford/Rartian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cranford/Rartian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cranford/Rartian paves the way for another one to be saved.
