Happy's Story...
Hi there! I'm Happy, and if you know Border Collies, then you know that I am a great dog who loves to work and play! I am a super fun guy, and I would love an active home where I can be active, too! Even though I'm about 10 years old, that number has barely slowed me down! I love to work, and I am SMART! I get along with other dogs, but would probably practice my herding skills on cats. Kids are just fine by me (though I may herd the smaller wandering children to keep them safe!), and I am great with them. I love to play with toys, too. I am a healthy guy and housebroken, too, and I love to be your co-pilot. I won't be content with just sitting around the house - there's no couch potato here! I'd love to go to work with you, or become a working therapy dog, or anything else you'd like to teach me. I learn fast and I love it! So if you have been looking for an older dog who still has a lot to contribute, here I am! Pick me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy, a Palatine Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
