Whitney's Story...
Hi- I’m Whitney! I’m approx. 6 months old in December 2012 and I am an adorable black/white kitten. I am loving, fun, playful and adorable! I was rescued when I was found dodging traffic and I was very scared…and very starving and lonely too! Thanks to the good people at A4A, I am now safe and sound and I will be spayed, vaccinated, tested for FeLv, dewormed, treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms and I am housetrained/litterbox trained too. I love everyone who is gentle and kind and I love other cats too! I am now in search of a loving, forever home to call my very own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whitney, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
