Holiday's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Holiday's Story...
Holiday was seized along with two other dogs from a cruelty/neglect situation. The three dogs were being kept in a filthy trailer and were owned by an 89-year-old woman suffering dementia. The owner was not able to care for the animals or herself.
Despite poor care, Holiday is an extremely LOVING and gentle dog. He is between 5 and 7-years-old and in general good health, despite having to be shaved down due to severe mats. Holiday is housebroken, neutered, GREAT with CATS and other dogs and would be a joy around children. He is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet and is only 45 lbs! A gentle, loving soul! Currently doing well in foster care, we are seeking a committed forever home for Holiday. Could that be you? If interested in this loyal, gentle spirit, please call us at (212) 427-8273. Holiday is a total sweetie!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holiday, a New York Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in New York, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
