My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Glee has officially moved into Annabelle’s and is available for adoption. Glee is a really nice former mama dog. She and her two surviving puppies were rescued from the Pitt County Animal Shelter in June. Glee is house broken with a doggie door, spayed, hw negative and on prevention. Up to date on all vaccines. Very loving and sweet with people.

In Glee's foster home, she is being socialized with other dogs both big and small. Has no problems getting along with any size or gender. We aren’t quite sure how old she is. She’s not younger than 2 because her body is fully developed and her chest has filled out nicely but her teeth are very clean and fresh looking so maybe she’s between 2-3. Right now she’s got an average energy level and likes to play with her other foster siblings and then chill out and be a couch potato. That could change in either direction as she regains her strength from being a mommy and settles into a real home. No more chains or outside living for this girl, and no more litters! It appears that she has had several already. She is faded out red and white and right now she’s got a lot of sun damage in her coat that will shed out and be replaced by a coppery red in a few weeks. She’s a wonderful people lover, very sweet! OK WITH CATS! of course that is with cats who are used to dogs. She, like all dogs would probably chase a cat that flipped out and ran.

She tested negative for HW when she was spayed. We plan on re-testing her before she gets adopted as a precaution. She has now been microchipped with Home Again. She is ready for a new life! She rides nicely in the car and travels to and from work with her foster mommy. She spends about an hour on the road every day and shares the backseat nicely with her foster siblings.

Please keep in mind that we are a foster based rescue only. There is no facility where these dogs can be visited prior to application approval as they are all in private homes. This is for both the safety of our foster homes and our dogs. Please take a minute to fill out the adoption application if you are interested in one of our dogs. We also do not place our pit bulls in homes with dogs of the same gender. We adopt as single dogs or to homes with dogs of the opposite gender only. We appreciate breed experience.
