Spencer's Story...
Spencer is a handsome and very sweet 8 year old, declawed tuxedo boy who very recently lost his loving owner. He misses this lovely lady who took such very good care of him and his sweet tortie/calico sister Penny. After a trip to an animal shelter and a last minute rescue, he is getting used to a new foster home. If he could speak he would ask to be able to live out his life (this healthy boy was recently examined by a vet, pronounced to be in good health, and has lots of years left!) in a loving forever home with his sweet, beautiful sister, Penny. Spencer can also be adopted on his own. Spencer loves to be petted and have his tummy rubbes and enjoys the cubby hole in the cat tree...He also loves looking out the window and watching the birds and other critters. If you would like to know more about this handsome fella or arrange to meet him, please phone Nancy 951-2760 or email: nancydykema@comline.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spencer, a Laguna Woods Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Laguna Woods, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Laguna Woods.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laguna Woods already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laguna Woods breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laguna Woods paves the way for another one to be saved.
