Penny's Story...
Penny is a very sweet, loving, 8 year old, declawed tortie/calico furry girl. After a trip to an animal shelter and a last minute rescue, she is getting used to a new foster home. Both Penny and her brother had a complete vet check up very recently and were found to be very healthy. Penny has a beautiful fur coat with vivid colors and an unusually sweet face. This gentle kitty would love to live out life (this healthy furry girl has lots of years left!) in a loving forever home with her handsome tuxedo brother, Spencer. She may also be adopted by herself. Penny has a sweet little meow and although a bit timid, she loves petting and given time will be a very affectionate furry friend. If you would like to know more about this beautiful kitty or arrange to meet her, please phone Nancy 951-2760 or email: nancydykema@comline.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Laguna Woods Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Laguna Woods, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Laguna Woods.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Laguna Woods already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Laguna Woods breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Laguna Woods paves the way for another one to be saved.
