Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Iris is a typical boxer girl, sweet, loving and a cuddle bug. We think she may be a purebred, but we can't know for sure because we do not know a lot about her past. We do know she very recently had a litter of puppies and came into a South Carolina shelter extremely thin. Her puppies were not with her and we can only hope that they were taken care of and sent to loving homes, unlike Iris.
Despite her circumstances, Iris couldn't be a more happy, loving girl. She is great at the boxer kidney dance and enjoys car rides. She also seems to be housetrained, as she has not had any accidents in her foster home. Iris is very playful and is enjoying the company of the other boxer in the house.
Iris is a thin 44 pounds right now and will probably reach an ideal weight of 55 pounds, the average for a boxer girl. We think she may be around 2 years old.
Iris will be at the Piscataway Petco on July 14th from 12pm-4pm. Please visit our website www.happypawsrescue.org and click the adopt tab to learn more about our adoption process or to fill out an application.
