Stella's Story...
Stella is a "best friend" kind of dog as well as a great companion for a dog who needs a buddy. She's staying with a busy family where she meets a lot of other animals and people, and enjoys every minute of her day. At a recent adoption event, she chose to stand by the walkway so she could greet every person who walked by. She's outgoing in a quiet, loving way :). Stella is estimated to be five years old and was obviously loved by someone at one time - she makes friends easily and is a joy to have around. Through no fault of her own, she found herself in an animal shelter and the staff quickly fell in love with her. Through the kindness of shelter and rescue volunteers, Stella can now start a new life in a FORever home. She knows basic commands and is house trained. She goes to the door when she needs to go out and then comes back inside to relax in the house. To see more photos, talk with her foster mom, and apply, please email INFO@FORrescue.net. Stella is fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella, a Nashville Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
