Emma's Story...
Emma is a young adult cat that was rescued when she was pregnant and due to be euthanized at the shelter. Her approximate birthday is in 2011. Her hobbies include vigorously chasing her tail, chasing the laser pointer, carrying toys throughout the house while meowing and collecting them all in one room, and looking out the window. Emma is fairly independent, but is friendly and likes to be brushed and petted. She does not require much attention, and is low key. She is timid, especially around new people and loud noises. She has been moved around a lot to many foster homes, and needs someone to show her she is safe so she can continue to come out of her shell. When she is comfortable she is friendly and will come running when you call her. She is ok with cat savvy dogs, and mainly just ignores them. She is ok with other cats, but she would be ok as an only cat as well. She may occasionally lay with or groom a companion kitty, but doesn't become too bonded. Can you give Emma the security she needs?

Emma would do best in a quieter adult home. Her adoption fee is $65 and includes spay, vaccinations, and deworming. If interested in giving Emma her forever home, please contact Jackie by emailing her at jakrivero@yahoo.com for an application or calling 925-667-7701

Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application. You may be asked additional questions, or to expand your answers. If approved, we can then set up a meeting with the pet to decide is he or she is the right fit for your family. You may be asked to allow a home inspection prior to taking home the animal. Adoption fees cover spay or neuter, deworming, transport, shelter fees, vaccinations and veterinary cots up until adoption. The adoption fees for dogs is $275 for puppies or adults. Adoption fees for cats are $135 for a kitten, $235 for two kittens, $100 for an adult, $220 for a mother kitten pair, and $75 for a senior pet. You will be asked to sign an adoption contract and health disclosure. You will be provided with a copy of the medical and shelter records. Spay and neuter non-negotiable.
